I have exhibited widely since the 1980’s including the Whitechapel Open, The Royal Academy Summer Show, The Royal West of England Academy, The Festival Hall, The Discerning Eye at the Mall Galleries and “A Century of Art” at the Coventry Museum. I have had major shows at the Clayton Gallery in Newcastle, the Riverside Studios in London, and Signatures Gallery in St. James, London. My work has toured with two shows about urban living, The “Subjective City” toured several public galleries including The Concourse Gallery at the Barbican Centre and “Witnesses and Dreamers” also toured major public galleries including the Museum of London. I am represented in a number of private and public collections including Coventry Museum, Coopers and Lybrand and the Bankers Trust in the Broadgate Development. My work is either oil on canvas or pastel and mixed media on paper. The work on paper is often on a large scale. Often with the city as a backdrop my subjects are usually things I have seen or experienced. I like there to be humour and ambiguity in my work the final interpretation being down to the viewer.
